Matt created the Mad Monk Collective in 2001 to give fellow artists from the Medway scene and himself a platform for their art, while also building a creative community within which they could seek support and cooperation with their work.  Mad Monk presents music, art and poetry with an underground vibe via the internet and at one-off parties.  Use this link to go to the Mad Monk shop where you can order from our unique range of books online.

Whilst not technically affiliated with the Stuckists, Matt has received support over the years from their organisations and members.  The London Stuckists were the first Remodernist art group, and indeed it was their two founding members Billy Childish and Charles Thompson that wrote the Remodernism Manifesto in 1999.  Matt Bray was the first individual artist (unaffiliated with any group) to embrace Remodernism, and was recognised as such by Charles Thompson on the Stuckism International website and on Wikipedia.
